Latest update on world silver price on February 27
The end of the silver trading session on February 27 on the market witnessed red covering the metal group as selling pressure increased. Concerns about strict tariff policies from the US along with abundant supply continued to weigh on prices.
In the precious metals market, the silver price closed down sharply by 2.38%, down to 31.83 USD/ounce.
The statement of US President Donald Trump at a joint press conference with the French President on February 24 reinforced the possibility of imposing a 25% tax on imports from Canada and Mexico from March 4. This policy raised concerns about rising inflation in the US, thereby encouraging the US Federal Reserve (FED) to maintain high interest rates to control prices and stabilize the economy. A high interest rate environment typically reduces the appeal of precious metals such as silver and platinum, and this was the main factor that put pressure on the prices of these two metals in the last session.

Domestic silver prices slightly decreased
Today’s silver price at Phu Quy Jewelry Group, silver prices slightly decreased, listed at 1,200,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,237,000 VND/tael (sell) in Hanoi. In addition, according to a survey at other trading locations in Hanoi, domestic silver prices continued to decrease, currently listed at 996,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,026,000 VND/tael (sell). In Ho Chi Minh City, silver prices also decreased, currently at 998,000 VND/tael (buy) and 1,032,000 VND/tael (sell). World silver prices also decreased, currently at 818,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 823,000 VND/ounce (sell).
