Today, domestic coffee prices on 24 February continue to maintain their upward trend, fluctuating between VND 132,800 and VND 134,000 per kilogram—an increase of VND 3,000 to 3,300 per kilogram compared to last week. The domestic market is nearing the historical peak of VND 134,200 per kilogram, a record set in April 2024.
Global Market Overview
World Coffee Prices Slightly Down Due to Profit-Taking
Robusta Coffee (London):
March 2025 contract: Increased by USD 71 per ton, reaching USD 5,712 per ton.
May 2025 contract: Increased by USD 62 per ton, reaching USD 5,717 per ton.
Arabica Coffee (New York):
March 2025 contract: Decreased by 0.65 cent per pound, to 389.25 cent per pound.
May 2025 contract: Decreased by 0.65 cent per pound, to 378.9 cent per pound.
While domestic prices are on the rise, global markets are showing signs of a slight adjustment downward due to profit-taking by speculators, a modest increase in inventories, and indications that roasters have already accumulated sufficient stocks at this time.
Specifically, on the London exchange, the Robusta March 2025 contract fell by 0.4% (USD 23 per ton) in the past week to USD 5,712 per ton, and the May 2025 contract dropped by 0.2% (USD 9 per ton) to USD 5,717 per ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, the Arabica May 2025 contract fell sharply by 4.5% (18.2 US cents per pound) in the past week to 389.25 US cents per pound, while the July 2025 futures contract declined to 378.9 US cents per pound.
According to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculator funds have reduced their net long positions in Arabica coffee by 1,938 contracts, bringing the total down to 43,123 contracts.
Domestic Coffee Prices on 24/2 Today
Currently, coffee prices in the Central Highlands remain unchanged from yesterday, marking a sixth consecutive week of gains:
Dak Nong: VND 134,000 per kg (unchanged)
Dak Lak: VND 134,000 per kg (unchanged)
Gia Lai: VND 134,000 per kg (unchanged)
Lam Dong: VND 132,800 per kg (unchanged)
Overall, over the past week, prices have increased by VND 3,000–3,300 per kg, bringing the purchase price in the domestic market close to the historical peak of VND 134,200 per kg set in April 2024. If this upward momentum continues, Vietnamese coffee prices may soon set a new record in upcoming trading sessions.
Market Analysis: On the Verge of Breaking the Historical Peak?
Domestic coffee prices have risen for the sixth consecutive week, supported by persistently low supply from Vietnam.
Global coffee prices have slightly decreased due to profit-taking by investors and gradually stabilizing stock levels.

Domestic coffee prices could exceed VND 134,200 per kg in the coming sessions if the strong upward trend persists. Today, domestic prices remain high at VND 132,800–134,000 per kg—a significant increase from last week. Meanwhile, global coffee prices are showing signs of adjustment due to investor activity.
